Where do I find information about an industry including industry trends and how the industry operates?
Answer
One great source for finding information on industry trends and operations is the S&P Global Netadvantage database. Look for S&P Global Netadvantage under the link Research Databases (located on the library's Quick Links list on the main page). Use the alpha list at the top of the database pages to find S&P Global Netadvantage. Once in the database, select the menu tab Industry Surveys. On the Industry Surveys page, use the pop-up menu to find your industry and then search. Your results should include a number of industry surveys with reports detailing the current environment of the industry and how it operates.
Another great resource for information on industries is the Gale Business Insights: Essentials database. Once in the database, select the Industries tab at the top of the page. This will lead to market share reports and to industry essays.
